Jim Mulligan is a director with the law firm of Fairfield and Woods, P.C. Founded in 1934 by Golding Fairfield and James Woods, Fairfield and Woods is one of the oldest law firms in Denver. Its lawyers practice a broad range of both general and niche business areas. It continues to be one of the leading commercial law firms in the Rocky Mountain region.
Mulligan is a Boston native and Denver resident with Colorado real estate practice spanning 35 years. His practice emphasizes most all aspects of commercial real estate, including urban, resort, and mixed use developments, with an additional focus in the structured financing and corporate areas of practice. Mulligan has represented the real estate development and finance industries in Colorado and throughout the Rocky Mountain region on legislation, regulatory concerns, and other issues. He has also been appointed Special Deputy Attorney General representing the Colorado Division of Housing in finance transactions.
Mulligan has authored and lectured extensively in the areas of land use and real estate development, finance, planned communities, and affordable housing and has chaired the Colorado Bar Association's Real Estate Section, Colorado's Gubernatorial Unified Housing Task Force, and the Downtown Denver Task Force. His community activities have included a Board position with Colorado Housing Assistance Corporation, Mackintosh Academy, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, Inc.
