Wanted: Additional Business Leaders to Join Elite Team Promoting Metro Denver’s Business News
For the past year, Maggie Holben, principal of Absolutely Public Relations, and Lee Boughey, senior manager of corporate communications and public affairs for the Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, began their mission as digital agents for the Metro Denver E-Force campaign, which teams with area business leaders to share information about the region's growing economy with their professional social media networks.
This campaign is designed to engage our region's socially savvy entrepreneurs and business leaders, who are always looking for ways to promote our region, by providing yet another outlet to spread the good news about Metro Denver to their peers.
"Metro Denver is an amazing place that offers so much," says Boughey, who has called the region his home for more than 25 years. "There's a strong community of civic-minded businesses and industries that genuinely care for the well-being of the community. That helps make businesses successful for the long term in Colorado."
Our region is made up of some of the nation's best and brightest leaders who are passionate about doing business here. They fit well into the Metro Denver EDC's overall brand of ‘Energetic Bodies. Energetic Minds.' And since they are a force to be reckoned with, it just seemed natural that we should call the group the Metro Denver E-Force.
Today, there are more than 130 Metro Denver E-Force agents who receive content to share with their social media networks at least three times each month. The content provides an in-depth look at reasons why Metro Denver fares better than many of our economic development competitors in national rankings in addition to highlighting key economic insights.
As a Colorado native, Holben appreciates the E-Force's celebration of Colorado's diverse and robust economy. "I like the idea that there's all this positive information available to me without having to hunt for it," says Holben. "It's a great system."
In the past year, we sent out 39 stories driving more than 15,000 unique visitors back to our websites, www.metrodenver.org and www.metrodenverGIS.org."It's important to share our strengths and the great things that are happening across Colorado and in the Metro Denver area," says Boughey. "We all have our own networks that we share information with. Being an E-Force agent arms you with timely information that can easily be shared."
With a year under our belt, our goal is to find even more agents who are passionate about Metro Denver. We're also going to be sending out more in-depth content to give our agents even more intelligence on why this is the best place to live and do business in the United States.
Let's make sure this mission is no longer a secret: If you know of anyone who might make a great digital agent (that includes you!) send them to www.metrodenver.org/eforce to sign up.
And don't worry - this message will not self-destruct in the next five seconds.
